B. L. TAYLOR
Much of what I have done in my life has revolved around the awareness of beauty, and I have tried, since childhood, to capture a small segment of that in my painting. We rush through life and don’t take time to say something like, “Look at that sky!” I hope that through my work, people will stop to see the wonder in the world around us.
BL Taylor was honored to be "Artist in Residence" in Dinan, Brittany (France). Each month, the village hosts one artist from somewhere in the world to be their guest.
My passion for art work began in childhood and continues throughout my adult life with education in New York, New Jersey, Maine, Connecticut and Vermont including having attended the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art.
In addition to work exhibited at such venues as the Essex Art Association, the Lyme Art Association and the Hartford Courant, there have also been solo exhibitions at places such as Essex Meadows, in Essex, Connecticut, local libraries in Connecticut, and at the Silver Swan Restaurant, New York City; Les Amis de la Grande Vigne, Dinan, Brittany, France; Gourgaud Gallery, Cranbury, NJ; and at Douglass College, Rutgers University, New Burnswick, NJ.
