Watercolor Class for Beginners and Intermediate

Alan is a prolific watercolor artist and teacher; his paintings are in private and corporate collections worldwide and he shows in Nantucket, Virginia Beach, Maple and Main and Lyme Art Association where he also teaches. He belongs to the Lyme Art Association, American Watercolor Society and New England Watercolor Society.

This six-week class covers the fundamental techniques that make a successful watercolor painting.  We will create a new painting each week and concentrate primarily on landscapes and seascapes.  

 The class will cover:

·       The basic understanding of composition.

·       The application of washes, wet in wet, glazing and dry brush techniques.

·       Explore the natural flow of water and learn to let the water guide us.

·       Learn the meaning of less is more

·       Smile a lot!

A materials list will be sent to each enrolled student.
